My picture of this lion I drew reminds me of one of Gods name (LION OF JUDAH). It represents him as a king, strong leader, powerful and majestic. I tried to demonstrate this by drawing this lion. One of my most favorite things to draw is animals so this went perfect. Recently I have tried to draw pictures about God and Jesus. I also try to draw very historic pictures.
This lion has some very distinct patterns in his face. He is laying on a rock and looking faraway to a moving object on a mountain. His hair was one of the hardest parts to draw but I eventually got it right.
This is a picture I drew when I was eight. This picture I drew in art class. As you can see it is a picture of a cross on a hill. I like this picture a lot because it makes me think of Jesus dying on the cross. This is one of my favorite drawings I did when I was young.
For the sun’s rays, I used a kneaded eraser to get the right effect. The sun shining greatly affected the picture and made it look realistic. Today I still use that method to create my sun rays. I am glad that I went to that art class.
One of my most favorite drawings is one I did three months ago. It is a drawing of St. Basil’s Cathedral. St. Basil’s Cathedral is located in Moscow Russia. Ivan the Terrible ordered this cathedral to be built; they started the project in 1555 and finished six years later in 1561. I thought this would be a very interesting and beautiful drawing so I started drawing it; and now I am glad I did. Below is the picture of St. Basil’s Cathedral:
Below is the picture I have drawn:
For this picture I used a variety of tools. The pencils I used are 2H, HB, 3B and 6B. I also used a kneadable eraser and a regular eraser. For the blending and softening I used a small, medium and large blending tool. For this picture I used the graph method so I could pick up all of the close, small details. This cathedral is one of the prettiest I have ever seen.
